National Peace Award to Malala Yousufzai


 Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has given National Peace Award to Malala  Yousufzai, a class 8th student from Swat who has been nominated for International Peace Award for Children for her work for peace and education.
Gilani on November 24 had announced Rs.500,000 reward for Malala  Yousufzai and directed the Cabinet Division to announce National Peace Awards for Children for their work for peace and education.
Malala,13,  had written a  diary with a pen name for the BBC Urdu service in the days Taliban were the de facto rulers of the region .
